Abstract
Title of the Research : Classical and Modern Arabic Literature as a Teaching Method and Driver of Literacy Innovation to Enhance Cultural Understanding among Young Generations
Background : Arabic literature, both classical and modern, plays a significant role in education and cultural development. However, the utilization of Arabic literature in teaching at schools remains limited, causing young generations to miss the opportunity to understand and appreciate the cultural richness contained within it. This presents a challenge for educators to find effective ways to integrate Arabic literature into the educational curriculum.
Purpose : This research aims to explore how Arabic literature can be used as a teaching method and a driver of literacy innovation to enhance cultural understanding among young generations.
Methodologies : This study employs a qualitative approach with subjects consisting of students and teachers from several schools that teach Arabic literature. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document searches. The data analysis process was conducted using an interactive model involving simultaneous collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing.
Principal Results : The findings indicate that teaching Arabic literature not only improves students' literacy skills but also enriches their cultural understanding. Interactive teaching methods and the use of technology in Arabic literature learning have proven effective in increasing students' interest and engagement. Additionally, teaching Arabic literature helps students develop critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as enhance their cultural awareness.
Major Conclusions : This research concludes that the integration of Arabic literature in education has great potential to improve literacy and cultural understanding among young generations.
